FoodStuff

WELCOME
The primary goal of this literary magazine is to bring varying communities together under what I perceive to be a standard that all can relate to and understand. That being food. Specifically those food items that are made at home, those that have a story connected to the cook and their culture. The past that the dish has matters little, you do not need to have a grand backstory as to how the dish was passed down from generation to generation and survived multiple wars. What I would like to see are stories. The stories that are attached to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Those foods that remind you of who you are, where you come from and the people that have put this on the table along with what that means to you.The connection through line of a homemade meal meant to energize, heal, warm you up or cool you down is one that I believe unites many people. That is the point of this magazine, that is its mission. To be able to show unity via poems, fiction, non-fiction, and any other variety of writing, that this connection is one capable of touching all to some degree.
Hello and welcome to FoodStuff, the site in which you are able to write and submit a variety of stories that center around the concept of foods and dishes that mean something to you.
The Due Date for Submissions is DECEMBER 10, thank you.
What is this going towards?
-This magazine is the product of an academic journal headed by a student of Ohio University, with the hopes of being able to create a project in which the feeling of unification is palpable through the page.
Where will this be published?
-Although there will unfortunately be a lack of distribution of physical copies, I can ensure that any material sent and approved of will be compiled into a separate website that will grow alongside the submitted works.
